Maldison K24
Maldison (K24) : Maldison causes the lice die by inhibiting the enzyme organophosphate cholinesterase that causes the louse to build up acetylcholine causing death of louse. Because of its formation containing 78% isopropyl alcohol it is highly flammable and most likely to cause an asthma attack with patients with asthma. It is a category B3 and should be avoided in pregnant women.
Directions of use: similar to previous medicaitons there are two types a lotion and a shampoo. The lotion requires twelve hours of up time before being rinsed out. Whereas the shampoo requires the patients to have it on the head for 30 minutes studies indicate that 5 minutes at the beginning of the application of shampoo should be spent massaging in the shampoo.
